Retail and Business Banking Summer Internship Programme

We are a customer-focused business and during your internship you’ll work on a project or with a team that puts our customers at the heart of everything we do. You may have to work directly with our retail banking or credit card customers. Alternatively, you could spend time with a business partner or in a role where your customers are internal.

Whatever the case, your internship will be challenging and the work you do will add real value and make an impact on our business. You’ll be working with experienced managers and colleagues who’ll support you every step of the way. You’ll have meaningful objectives to achieve and you’ll receive regular feedback that will be valuable for your personal and professional development. The kind of projects you could expect to be involved with include:

• Competitor research to analyse how we stack up against other high street banks and credit card providers
• Evaluating the operating model employed by the retail bank
• Developing new ways to process card transactions and payments, whether from terminals or through e-commerce payment engines
• Researching key market segments and requirements (e.g. product, servicing and risk profiles) to provide suggestions for improvement
