Credit Risk Delivery

Credit Risk Delivery supports the Credit Risk Strategy and Analysis teams to deliver change. This enables us to make fast, accurate changes to the technology and processes we use to identify, control and manage risk.

The teams within Credit Risk Delivery:

  • Provide end-to-end project management for key Credit Risk strategic initiatives
  • Build, test and implement technical change to the decision platforms we use within Credit Risk
  • Facilitate the resolution of incidents to live systems affecting Credit Risk
  • Manage the Credit Risk strategic investment budgets

Information Management

Information Management ensures we have consistent, accurate and complete information for and about our customers to better manage our business. Our goal is to ensure we manage our customers data as rigorously as we manage their money.

To do this, Information Management’s job is:

  • To provide a common data environment and toolset
  • Introduce a global data governance framework
  • Establish an Information Management Centre of Excellence

Information Management provides many of the capabilities required to grow our business, for example the ability to drive more sophisticated marketing campaigns or enhancing the experience felt by our customers.

While part of Credit Risk, Information Management incorporates all business portfolios and support functions, including data users across Credit Risk, Marketing, Finance and Operations.

The key skills we look for are a technical mindset and/or project management – be it from a computing, IT or business-focused degree, or relevant work experience. All of our roles provide a key link between the technical and business focused communities within Barclaycard, so a hybrid of these skills is ideal.

This programme will see you complete a number of placements across Credit Risk Delivery and Information Management to gain exposure to each and allow you to work on projects within all of the Barclaycard portfolios.

Just some of the roles you could take over the course of the programme include:

  • Change Delivery Manager – a hybrid between project management and subject matter expertise, you will deliver end-to-end project management for key Credit Risk and Information Management strategic initiatives
  • Lead Analyst Developer – analysing requirements from Credit Risk analytical teams to implement technical solutions onto decision platforms in technologies such as SAS, or testing these solutions before deployment into the production environment
  • Data Manager – acting as a data/technical expert for our data warehousing and analytical systems to ensure data users across the business can work effectively using existing and new environments and data sources
